The OKC Thunder has ruled out 10 players for its regular-season finale, a home game against the Phoenix Suns at 7:30 p.m. CT Sunday.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, Chet Holmgren, Isaiah Hartenstein, Cason Wallace, Alex Caruso, Ajay Mitchell, Isaiah Joe, Jaylin Williams and Thomas Sorber have all been ruled out.
It’s the same group of players who didn’t suit up during OKC’s 127-107 road loss to the Denver Nuggets on Friday. And it shouldn’t come as a surprise, considering the Thunder (64-17) has already clinched the top seed in the Western Conference.
OKC will once again have eight players available Sunday, including its three players on two-way contracts. That list consists of Lu Dort, Jared McCain, Aaron Wiggins, Kenrich Williams, Nikola Topić, Branden Carlson, Brooks Barnhizer and Payton Sandfort.
Dort is OKC’s lone starter who’ll suit up. He needs to play at least 20 minutes in order to meet the 65-game rule for end-of-season awards.
