BIG FLATS, N.Y. (WENY) — Local fashionistas showed up and out on Saturday night for Runway for a Cause of the Southern Tier’s 6th Annual Fashion Show. The show serves as a yearly fundraising event.
The non-profit organization aims to provide a space for artists to showcase their craft while also raising money and awareness for a good cause.
In years past, the proceeds have benefited Casa Trinity, My Refuge House, Habitat for Humanity, and more. Funds have also helped to create scholarships for local artists.
This year, the fashion show raised thousands of dollars for the Waverly Community Chest, another organization that helps to provide funding to other local nonprofits in the region.
Attendees gathered at the Wings of Eagles Discovery Center in Big Flats to watch as models of all ages took to the stage to showcase outfits and pieces of all varieties.
