It is now NBA playoff time for the Los Angeles Lakers. Instead of creating excitement for this team, it is a time of fatigue and concern. The Lakers have to tap deeper into their rotation after injuries to Luka Dončić and Austin Reaves. That has opened the door for Bronny James to get more consistent minutes.
Bronny still is a work in progress, and when he brings the ball up the court, he more often than not gets the ball taken from him. He has had a couple of easily avoidable turnovers as well. However, Bronny has still been an impactful part of the Lakers’ rotation recently.

Last Thursday in 20 minutes, Bronny posted 10 points, shot 4-7 from the field, and had 2 steals. He then, in the final showing of the season, had 11 points, shot 4-7 from the field again, while shooting 3-4 from 3, had 4 assists, and 1 steal. It seems like he is getting more and more confident from beyond the arc. This past week, he posted two great outings, giving himself and his coach great confidence that he can be a viable player in the rotation.
The Lakers right now could use as much production as they can get, especially off the bench. It is nice that they can lean on Bronny. It will be interesting to see what his minutes look like come Saturday and the rest of round 1. It is hard not to try throwing him out there, seeing every time he touches the court with Lebron, they make history.
