The weekly series kicks off with “Gremlins” on Thursday, April 16.
DELMAR, Iowa — The temperatures are warming up, and so are the projectors at Voy 61 Drive-In Theatre in Delmar, Iowa.
This season, the theatre is hosting “Throwback Thursday and Food Truck Movie Nights.” As noted in the name, attendees can catch a throwback film and get some eats from food trucks in attendance.
The weekly event kicks off on Thursday, April 16, with a showing of the 1984 classic “Gremlins.” Then, on April 30, moviegoers can catch “Twister,” the 1996 action film starring Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt.
Gates open at 6:30 p.m. with movies starting at dusk. Admission for the food trucks is free, but if you are staying to catch the movie, admission is $5.
Voy 61 is one of only four drive-in theatres still operating in Iowa.
