Walmart’s new Onn 4K Pro streaming box is starting to hit store shelves, with the device set to rival Google TV Streamer while costing just $60.
It’s no secret that Walmart has a successor to its Onn 4K Pro in the works. The set-top box showed up recently and, right on schedule, it has started showing up on store shelves.
One Reddit user found the 2026 update to Walmart Onn 4K Pro in their local store and managed to buy the device, offering a first look at the hardware and confirming some key specs.
Walmart’s packaging details 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, just shy of matching the Google TV Streamer, which has 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The chip is a quad-core Cortex-A55 with an ARM G310 V2 GPU, pointing to the Amlogic S905X5M chipset. Wi-Fi 6 is supported and there’s an Ethernet port. Unlike the new 4K Streaming Stick, Dolby Vision is supported.
There is one big downgrade, though, in switching from USB 3.0 to USB 2.0 for the rear USB-A port. That’s not going to affect most users, but a huge appeal for this form factor is the ability to use local media off of USB devices, and the switch to USB 2.0 is certainly a headache for that use case.
Further images of the device show off the hardware with its fabric-clad design, the same remote, and an assortment of ports – USB-A, HDMI, Ethernet, and USB-C for power instead of last year’s barrel plug. The Ethernet port is still limited to 100MBps speeds.
Apparently, the box was sold for $60.
That’s a price hike of around $10 from the prior model.
Walmart has yet to formally announce this device or put it on sale – no matter what some misleading headlines out there will tell you – but the launch is clearly right around the corner. Walmart’s Google TV launches are always just wildly messy.
