”Romero is the biggest name on a five-player exodus list the club have drawn up.
”Guglielmo Vicario, Destiny Udogie and Yves Bissouma have been tipped to be sold this summer to make way for fresh faces and hopefully some renewed vigour on the pitch under Roberto De Zerbi.
”There is also no guarantee of Spurs triggering a permanent move for Joao Palhinha when his loan from Bayern Munich ends.”
Palace make Iraola offer
Reports in Spain suggest that Palace have already been in contract with the 49-year-old, who could also be wanted by Athletic Club.
”The Spaniard has chosen not to extend his contract, which will bring an end to his three-year stay at the Vitality Stadium. Iraola has been linked with the likes of Manchester United, but they themselves are unsure what they’re doing with their managerial situation.
”As a result the Eagles have come to the negotiating table as they know Oliver Glasner will also be departing this summer. Marca claims that they put a multi-million pound offer to Iraola and promised him to invest annually in their squad. The Bournemouth boss is understood to be considering the role.”
Bournemouth in talks for Rose
Bournemouth are in talks with former RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund boss Marco Rose, according to the Daily Mail.
The South Coast side are already on the hunt to find a replacement for Iraola, who will leave the club in the summer.
”The 49-year-old Rose has been out of work since being sacked by RB Leipzig a year ago but is eager to take up the challenge of coaching in the Premier League.
”He was considered by Tottenham prior to them appointing Igor Tudor and has previously managed in the Champions League while with Borussia Dortmund, where he coached the likes of Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham.
”Bournemouth have considered the merits of assistant Tommy Elphick and Ipswich’s Kieran McKenna and, while the latter has a buyout clause, his immediate focus is to lead his club back into the Premier League.”
Barca look at Rashford alternatives
Marcus Rashford may miss out on his desire to remain with Barcelona beyond his season-long loan.
The Manchester Evening News reports that despite a £26 million buy clause, Barca are now looking at Benfica’s Andreas Schjelderup.
”With the disappointing exit on Tuesday, Rashford will have to put his European ambitions on hold for the time being. While he is slated to return to Manchester in the summer, there is a strong possibility he could rejoin Barcelona permanently if both clubs agree to a deal.
”Barcelona had an option to make Rashford’s switch permanent for a fee of €30 million (£26m), although this clause has reportedly now expired. Barca are also looking at other options, including Benfica’s Andreas Schjelderup.”
