LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Vegas Fashion Week made its debut this week, bringing five days of runway shows, designer showcases, and community events to the Strip in an effort to establish Las Vegas as a rising destination for global fashion.
Presented by the Las Vegas Fashion Council, the inaugural event united luxury brands, emerging designers, and student talent.
Organizers said the launch marked a milestone for the city’s growing fashion community.
The week opened on Thursday at The Shops at Crystals with a celebration of fashion through the decades.

On Friday, Fashion Show Las Vegas hosted a Student & Emerging Designers Showcase featuring local designers Mauricio Espinoza, Jason Ghazinour, Angela Rene, Jolanda Gooden, and Briella Lee, as well as student creators and designers who had previously previewed their looks at the MAGIC Conference.
On Saturday, Worre Studios highlighted couture and costume design with pieces from Anna Bartoletti, Debra Storey, Andra Tanasescu, Suzanne Vinnik, Crystal Ball, Maceoo, Abby Stroot, Jeffrey DeBarthy, Georgia Richardson, Levi Harbeson, and Natali Germanotta.
The evening also included a performance by Elliott with 2T’s from “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”
The event wraps Sunday with a High Fashion Tea at Peacock Alley inside Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas, featuring designs from Anne Fontaine.
Organizers said Vegas Fashion Week was designed to elevate local talent, create industry opportunities, and inspire future designers through community and educational partnerships.
Planning for next year’s event is already underway.
