CLEVELAND — Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo left Monday’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers early with a groin injury.

The Bucks announced that Antetokounmpo would not return due to a left groin strain.

Antetokounmpo grabbed his groin as he laid on the floor after missing a shot at the rim over multiple Cavaliers defenders with just over three minutes remaining in the first half. Following the play, Antetokounmpo hobbled up the floor and committed a foul on Cavaliers forward Evan Mobley and immediately walked to the locker room.

Before exiting, Antetokounmpo scored 14 points with five rebounds and four assists in 13 minutes. With his 13th point tonight, he passed Hall of Famer Walt Bellamy (20,941) for 42nd on the NBA’s all-time scoring list. Hal Greer at No. 41 (21,586) and Larry Bird at No. 40 (21,791) are next up.
