Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will visit Singapore on November 20 and 21 to promote Greece as an investment destination and meet with regional and international leaders.
Mitsotakis will meet Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and President Tharman Shanmugaratnam. This marks his second contact with a Singaporean prime minister, following a December 2022 meeting with Wong’s predecessor, Lee Hsien Loong, in Brussels at the EU-ASEAN summit.
The agenda will include EU-Singapore relations, regional and international developments and bilateral cooperation in digital governance and artificial intelligence, where Singapore is considered a global model.
Mitsotakis will participate in the Bloomberg New Economy Forum, the region’s largest economic event, bringing together investors and officials from Asia, the US and Europe. On November 21, he will take part in a public discussion with Bloomberg editor-in-chief John Micklethwait on Europe’s economic, political, geopolitical and energy challenges.
During the visit, Mitsotakis will meet with international investment organizations to promote Greece’s advantages in traditional and emerging economic sectors.
