It’s been quite the week for Tyler, the Creator. Having made his debut in Fortnite, now he has been named as Apple Music’s Artist of the Year for 2025.
Apple even broke out a new stat to herald the news.
“Across Apple Music, Tyler had his best year ever in terms of worldwide plays, listeners, and hours listened, with fans around the world logging more than 4.5 billion minutes of listening time between November 2024 and October 2025,” it revealed.
Tyler’s most recent album, ‘Don’t Tap The Glass’, went to number one in Apple Music’s charts in 55 countries on the day of its release, too.
The award has previously been won by Billie Eilish (twice), Lil Baby, The Weeknd, Bad Bunny and Taylor Swift.
Alongside the news, Apple Music has launched a swathe of ‘Best of 2025’ playlists ranging across genres and scenes: from pop, hip-hop, Latin and country to viral hits, Mandopop and Schlager.
