The Dutch giants only have four fit midfielders for the midweek encounter in Rotterdam with Hoops also missing a few
One-time Celtic target Cyle Larin will miss Feyenoord’s Europa League showdown with the Hoops thanks to injury.
And Feyenoord boss Robin van Persie has revealed he is facing a midfield crisis with just four fit bodies to man the engine room against the Premiership champions.
Celtic have their own injury concerns with Cameron Carter-Vickers, Alistair Johnston, James Forrest, Kelechi Iheanacho, Marcelo Saracchi and Jota all currently sidelined.
But the Dutch club are facing more immediate issues as van Persie confirmed Canadian international striker Larin and full back Givairo Read both set to miss out.
He said: “Both Cyle and Givairo will be missing for at least a couple of weeks. It’s far from ideal
“At the moment, I currently only have four fit midfielders available – Oussama Targhalline, Sem Steijn, Luciano Valente and Quinten Timber.
“So it’s clearly going to be a very challenging few weeks for us.
“Our last game against Go Ahead Eagles was a mess. We discussed the decisions we made as a team because we didn’t stick to our principles.
“We’ve addressed everything and we’re ready to put things right in our games this week.
“I’m only approaching them this way because I know these guys can do it.”
Larin, 30, was strongly linked with a move to Celtic when he was at Orlando City seven years ago, but moved to Besiktas instead and has since gone onto play for Club Brugge and Mallorca, before joining Feyenoord on loan.
