Morocco won two top honors at the seventh annual Fashion Trust Arabia Awards on Saturday, celebrating talent in fashion design, accessories, and jewelry, Morocco’s Press Agency (MAP) reported.
The ceremony, led by Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, the organization’s honorary president, recognized Moroccan designers Youssef Idrissi for ready-to-wear and Leila Roukni for accessories. The event drew global fashion leaders, young creatives, and industry figures.
Saudi designer Ziad Bouainain won the evening wear category, while Egypt’s Farah Radwan took the jewelry award. Bahrain’s Alaa Al Aradi received the Franca Sozzani Rising Talent Award. Bahrain also claimed the fashion technology prize through Fatima and Dalal Al Khaja. India, the guest country, earned recognition through designer Kart K Comra.
The awards also honored international icons. Miuccia Prada received the Lifetime Achievement Award for her lasting impact on contemporary fashion. Designer Zuhair Murad earned the Leadership Award for bringing Arab haute couture to a global stage and inspiring a new generation of designers.
