In a groundbreaking partnership that merges high fashion with elite hospitality, The Ritz-Carlton has launched an exclusive new fashion collection in collaboration with Late Checkout, a visionary label known for its avant-garde designs. This innovative collection aims to redefine the future of luxury lifestyle and hospitality, blending timeless elegance with the modern traveler’s need for comfort, style, and exclusivity. By fusing the sophisticated charm of The Ritz-Carlton brand with Late Checkout’s cutting-edge aesthetics, this collaboration sets a new standard for luxury, offering discerning guests more than just a stay — but an immersive lifestyle experience. This is not merely about fashion or hospitality; it’s about elevating the very essence of living in style, inside and outside the hotel room.
The Ritz-Carlton continues to elevate its legacy of luxury hospitality, now extending its influence into the realm of modern luxury lifestyle with the launch of its second collaboration with the Madrid-based fashion brand, Late Checkout. What began as a bold fusion of sophistication and boldness, which earned a prestigious Gold Cannes Lions award, now unfolds a fresh chapter. This new collection introduces a range of accessories, loungewear, and children’s items, seamlessly blending The Ritz-Carlton’s timeless elegance with Late Checkout’s belief in hotels as immersive spaces where style and storytelling converge. The palette of navy, ivory, and soft blue honors the Ritz-Carlton’s heritage, while infusing Late Checkout’s signature playful energy.
“This next chapter deepens our shared story with Late Checkout. The Ritz-Carlton has grown to meet travelers across
every journey: whether on safari, at sea, in nature, or in our city and resort hotels; this collection now touches more
facets of that lifestyle. With family pieces and travel-ready accessories, it reflects our natural evolution as a brand,
while keeping the wit and craftsmanship that made people embrace the collaboration from the start,” said Jamie Kerr,
Global Head of Brand and Marketing for The Ritz-Carlton.
The collection strikes a perfect balance between sophisticated elegance and playful irreverence, staying true to Late Checkout’s signature aesthetic. It features everything from reimagined wardrobe classics to clever surprises. Standout pieces include ultra-light knits adorned with The Ritz-Carlton’s iconic lion emblem and velvet Sukajan jackets with striking embroidery. The new loungewear range reinvents evening comfort with tuxedo-inspired shawl-collar robes and flowing cotton pajama sets. For children, the capsule introduces a selection of refined cotton rugby polos, t-shirts, and caps. Home accessories such as throws and umbrellas embody the same quirky charm. A newly unveiled globe motif, drawing from vintage travel logos, represents the spirit of adventure and growth, mirroring the global outlook of both brands. The beloved baseball caps make a return, cementing their status as a signature accessory. Together, these pieces showcase a blend of aspirational, yet relaxed, style—exceptional craftsmanship infused with a playful spirit.
“Working with The Ritz-Carlton a second time gave us the chance to take the story further,” said Alex Turrión,
Creative Director of Late Checkout. “This chapter feels larger in every sense: more cinematic, more layered, and
more personal. Japan gave us a backdrop that allowed the narrative to expand, and with it, the collection itself. It’s
still rooted in hotels, still tongue-in-cheek, but now it touches every part of travel, from family to home. For us, that’s
the most exciting part: showing how this world can grow without losing the spirit that made people connect with it
the first time.”
The Film: The Ritz-Carlton, Nikko as the Backdrop
In this latest campaign directed by Rogelio González and produced by Little Spain, Josh Hutcherson takes center stage once more, immersed in a surreal experience at The Ritz-Carlton, Nikko. Nestled among towering mountains, lush forests, and reflective lakes, Nikko becomes more than just a location—it becomes an essential part of the vision, a serene retreat where time appears to stand still. This tranquil ambiance shaped the film’s overall mood, imbuing each frame with a subtle yet captivating intensity that strikes a perfect balance between The Ritz-Carlton’s refined elegance and the playful mischief of Late Checkout.
The accompanying photo series, captured by photographer Javier Ruiz, beautifully mirrors the cinematic quality of the film, preserving its emotional depth and visual storytelling. In collaboration with Late Checkout and Hutcherson, the team created a narrative where opposites coexist in harmony—luxurious timelessness meets spirited irreverence, and peace blends with spontaneity. Though the script did not initially hint at a romantic plotline, an organic emotional connection emerged on set, bringing a layer of intimacy to the story. Throughout the production, Hutcherson worked closely with González on the film’s pacing and tone, ensuring the final product captured the authentic essence of Nikko.
“What excites me about this project is how it keeps evolving,” said Josh Hutcherson. “The Ritz-Carlton, Nikko gave
us an entirely new energy. It’s stylish, funny, and cinematic in a way that feels true to both brands while still being
surprising.”
