Simone Ashley was spotted in New York last night, and it looks like the Devil Wears Prada 2 actress isn’t ready to let go of one of summer’s most divisive trends: capris.

Personally, I admired this trend from a safe distance. At 5ft 11, capris on me feel like a punishment from the fashion gods, but the likes of Kendall Jenner, Hailey Bieber, and Emily Ratajkowski tried their best to lure me in. Now I’ll have to add Simone to that list, because she looked so good wearing a Chloé Resort 2026 look that was blissfully boho-free.
The chevron wool riding coat was the star — structured, dramatic, and cinched at the waist with that chunky black belt that gave the silhouette. The cropped black trousers kept things modern rather than vintage-folkloric, which is where Chloé sometimes loses me, and the Jude Fame suede pumps added a coordinated touch, even if suede shoes wouldn’t be my first choice on a rainy New York night.
A Chloé bracelet bag completed the outfit.
I can take or leave Chloé most days, as the brand can slip into déjà vu with its run of prairie dresses and earthy palettes. But this look? This felt refreshing and sharper.
