If there’s one thing I can say about Black Friday in 2025, it’s that it has stamina. It feels like it’s been going for years. And yet, after sifting through hundreds of PC gaming deals I’m yet to see any that stand out as truly remarkable. Sure, I’ve seen some good deals, some of them even great—but remarkable? Earth shaking? Nope.
Until now. Mwave is currently flogging a gaming headset for AU$5 a pop.
I should also say that you’ll need to pay at least AU$10.50 shipping, so the real total would end up being AU$16.50. Is that a deal breaker? I… I wouldn’t spend that much myself. But perhaps you would. Or perhaps you can pick up some other items in Mwave’s Black Friday sale to help offset the shipping cost.
These things boast 40mm speaker drivers, a flexible (but not detachable) mic, onboard volume control with a mute button, and “soft foam cushioning”. Judging by those admittedly vague specs, they’re not bottom of the barrel by any means. If you’ve made do with the headset that used to come bundled with Xbox 360 consoles, this would be like seeing Autechre play live in a pitch black room by comparison.
I rounded up some of the best Black Friday gaming headset bargains yesterday, by coincidence. Go there if you want to spend more. Otherwise, Ben and I are maintaining a huge list of the best Black Friday PC gaming deals, with more than 70 bargains thus far.
