When Ivanka Trump joined her father and siblings for Thanksgiving dinner at Donald’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida in 2018, the entire Trump family had dressed to the nines for the formal event.
However, despite looking stunning, Ivanka, a 44-year-old mother of three, made a noticeable fashion misstep. The beautiful blonde opted for a silk Michael Kors Collection dress paired with white heels.
The sleeveless dress, which featured a low back and delicate blue flowers, also had a small puffed-out skirt over the knee adding an interesting detail. But the color choice was what raised eyebrows. It comes after stepmother Melania’s flesh-coloured trousers created an awkward, rude optical illusion.

In America, there’s a long-standing fashion rule about not wearing white after Labor Day. Yet, Ivanka chose to flout this style rule at one of the most photographed events on any family’s social calendar.
Seemingly oblivious to her bold choice, Ivanka shared several photos of herself beaming at the event on Instagram, as she spent the day with family. She wore her long blonde hair pulled back in a low ponytail with a side parting, reports the Express.
A pair of striking black and silver chandelier earrings dangled from her ears. Her makeup was simple, featuring nude lips and a heavy smoky eye.
Meanwhile, Melania Trump chose to rewear a black lace Dolce & Gabbana dress.
Thanksgiving has always been a bustling period for the President and his family, as evidenced by Melania and Ivanka’s attendance at a turkey pardoning ceremony a week before.
Melania, the First Lady, was seen in a geometric print coat from Dior’s Pre-Fall 2018 collection. The vibrant color provided a striking contrast to her otherwise all-black ensemble worn during the event.
On the other hand, Ivanka chose to wear a mid-length, black-and-white checkered coat. She added a touch of flair to her outfit with a black and white polka dot headband. Her look was completed with a chic black handbag.
Despite this, Ivanka Trump has long been regarded as a style icon. She is married to Jared Kushner – the pair tied the knot in October 2009.
Together they have three children, daughter Arabella Rose Kushner, and sons Joseph Frederick Kushner and Theodore James Kushner.
It comes after Ivanka flaunted her curves in striking look but got slammed as an ‘entitled child’.
