BARTLESVILLE, Okla. — OKM Music and Woolaroc Museum and Wildlife Preserve have partnered to host a three day Christkindl Market during Woolaroc’s Festival of Lights event.
“We are having a wonderful Christmas market called Christkindl Market and Winter of Wonderland Lights, so the Wonderland Lights Festival is happening right now,” said Mary Lynn Mihm-Howk, OKM Music’s Artistic Event Director. “We’re partnering together with Woolaroc to bring a little bit of magic to northeastern Oklahoma and share lots of vendors.”
Mihm-Howk said the market offers activities the entire family can enjoy.
“There’s so much to do for the whole family. it’s $10 at the gate for adults, $2 for kids…We have crafts for the kids. We have games for the kids, igloo experiences. We have amazing food, German food of course, typical Christkindl Market type food and we have over 30 vendors that are selling their wonderful artisan goods, maybe sweet treats and all kinds of yummy Glühwein, hot cocoa. You name it, we got it.”
Mihm-Howk said the funds raised during the market are returned back to the community through OKM Music’s outreach efforts.
“All the proceeds from this go to our children’s programming, so we’re very excited to be able to bring children’s programming throughout the year to northeastern Oklahoma…We give over 5,000 books away every year…We also give out over 5,000 instruments per year to children and all of that takes a lot of resources and a lot of funding. We bring puppet shows, musical shows, all kinds of concerts for kids and families and so yeah, that’s what all of this goes to help support. Come make magical family memories and come help support a good cause.”
Regular tickets for the Christkindl Market are $10 for adults and $2 for children.
However, guests can buy special packages and add-ons to enhance their experience at the market.
The Christkindl VIP Experience is $75 and covers tickets for two adults and includes commemorative mugs, European pastries, warm beverages of either Glühwein or hot chocolate and a keepsake shopping bag.
The Christkindl Market Family Experience is $85 and includes tickets for two adults and four children. It also includes six pastries and drinks, along with a festive gift bag.
Finally, families can purchase the Family Igloo Experience for $100, which includes access to a decorated, private igloo for an hour along with hot chocolate, pastries, a cookie decorating kit and a storybook signed by Santa.
An Igloo Lounge can also be rented for $40, providing guests with 30 minutes to relax and drink hot chocolate inside the space with up to 10 guests.
The Christkindl Market will be held from Nov. 28 to Nov. 30 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. each day.
