Actress Tori Spelling and her ex-husband Dean McDermott have been hit with a huge bill for unpaid Federal and State taxes.
The two, who recently divorced, owe $1.2 million (£910k) to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and will each be responsible for $600,000 (£457k) of that debt.
Similarly, they are on the hook for more than $500,000 (£381k) in unpaid taxes owed to the California Tax Board, with each party responsible for half that debt as well.
It means they owe a combined $1.7 million (£1.3m) in unpaid taxes, or $850,000 (£648k) each.
The figures were revealed as part of the final judgment in the former couple’s divorce, the details of which were published by Fox News Digital.
The filings also showed that they had racked up various additional debts over the years.
Notably, Spelling was found to owe $288,000 (£220k) to an unnamed private individual and a further $69,000 (£53k) to someone else.
She is also jointly responsible with McDermott for $37,000 in debt owed to American Express.
The actor couple have now officially divorced after 19 years of marriage, having wed in May 2006.
While Spelling was already a well-known star in her own right after featuring in the hit 90s show Beverly Hills 90210 as well as various movies, McDermott is probably best known for featuring alongside Spelling in their own reality TV show.
Initially titled Tori & Dean: Inn Love, the name was changed after a couple of seasons to Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood.
The show ran for a total of six seasons.
With such sizeable debts now to be repaid, it is interesting to look into the pair’s reported incomes.
Celebrity news site Page Six obtained an income and expenses report filed with Los Angeles Superior Court.
It revealed that McDermott had estimated Spelling’s monthly income at somewhere between $3,000 and $75,000 (£2.3k-£57k), “depending on the job.”
It added that “McDermott claimed he earns $3,800 per month and noted that his financial situation changed significantly over the past year “due to the SAG/AFTRA strikes and change in the industry.”
Looking at the specific financial agreements published in the divorce filings, it was revealed that Spelling has been awarded all intellectual property rights to ‘90210’, while revenue for ‘Tori & Dean’ projects would be shared equally between the two of them.
Tori is the daughter of Aaron Spelling, the prolific TV and film producer who was worth an estimated $500 million ($783m/£619m today) when he died in 2006.
