Personally, I’ve never found Joy-Cons super comfortable when gaming for long hours, which is why this mobile controller is perfect. Sonic Frontiers is an underrated game starring the Blue Blur, and its an action-adventure game that also features plenty of platforming. In this game, Sonic has never felt better to control, the story is surprisingly heartfelt, and the world design is breathtaking.
This little Switch 2 camera isn’t on sale but I’d buy it for its cuteness
The HORI Piranha Plant Camera for the Switch 2 is absolutely adorable, but it’s not on sale for Cyber Monday, unfortunately. The Piranha Plant Cam lets you show your face in some games, including Mario Kart World and Super Mario Party Jamboree… but the resolution is limited to only 480P, which is a let-down.
However, who can deny the Piranha Plant Cam’s cuteness? I reviewed the camera and I couldn’t stop gushing over its adorable design, plug-and-play setup, and the fact that it can be used as a regular webcam. Right now, it’s sitting atop my monitor at work, and it gets a smile out of me every time my eyes wander over to it.
One for NFL fans
Madden NFL 26 is a fantastic game for fans of NFL and Nintendo Switch 2 owners, and it’s down to $29 at Amazon right now. Madden NFL 26, the latest title in the long-running professional football franchise from EA Sports, offers a number of upgrades that justify picking it up, including improved graphics, new mechanics, and a great Superstar mode.
Is Nintendo Switch 2’s first new Zelda game worth it?
Although not on sale as it only just came out, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is a fantastic game that you should keep your eye on, should it get discounted. Our Senior Entertainment Editor, Rory, noted that it was “one of [his] biggest gaming surprises in 2025.”

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is my favorite one-player game on the Switch. It earned a 4.5-star rating in our review, and rightfully so. It lives up to the franchise’s pedigree, and then some. It’s a remarkably confident sequel that refines and remixes elements of Breath of the Wild in delightfully surprising ways.
While the aging OG Switch hardware can’t always keep pace, it runs well on the Switch 2. Tears of the Kingdom provides a masterful experience that is essential for all Nintendo fans. Right now, you can get the game for $51 at Walmart.
Shoot some hoops in NBA 2K26, now down to just $29
NBA 2K26 is available for just $29 at Amazon right now. The latest entry in the annual NBA 2K series is once again the most polished and authentic way to play basketball from the comfort of your couch. NBA 2K26 includes the series’ standard suite of online and offline modes, including MyTEAM and MyGM.
The Switch 2 version isn’t as graphically impressive as on other consoles, but it does offer portable play, which is a pretty big advantage!
Which game are you most looking forward to on the Switch 2?
A few games are slated for launch on the Switch 2. Is there any in particular you’re looking forward to? For instance, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, PGA Tour 2K25, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons are all going to be available to play on the Switch 2.
Personally? I’d love to see how Assassin’s Creed Shadows performs on the Switch 2, given that the console handles Cyberpunk 2077 fairly decently, running at a smooth 40fps! I’d also love to see Baldur’s Gate 3 ported to the Switch 2, but this will most probably remain a dream…

The Turtle Beach Rematch Wireless is a great gamepad if you’re looking to use something other than Joy-Cons. In my review, I awarded it 4-stars. Featuring analog thumbsticks and triggers that are highly responsive and motion controls, not only does the Rematch Wireless make games feel more immersive, but it’s extremely comfortable, too. There are also two rear buttons that can be remapped on the fly.
As budget controllers go, the Rematch Wireless is a fantastic gamepad for the Nintendo Switch family. It comes in a few funky colors, but the glow-in-the-dark Super Mario theme is my top pick, and it’s currently 17% off at Amazon.
