The fourth annual Festival of Trees is approximately halfway done, and it’s looking to be another promising year for funds raised.
The non-profit event was started by Sandy Luthy, in an effort to support the various charities that help locals. Tuesday night, multiple local businesses participated in a fashion show at Cody Regional Health, in which all proceeds were sent to two local charities–Bears of Honor, which honors fallen members of the military, and Bright Futures Mentoring, which connects adults with youth for mentorship.
The well-attended event saw attendees watch models, outfitted by local businesses, walk a runway. One of those models was Cody Mayor Lee Ann Reiter, who sported MTN GRL clothing.
“No one does Christmas like Cody–celebrating “Small Business Saturday”, the Christmas stroll, and lighted parade. The Festival of Trees continues the holiday excitement,” Reiter said. “I am very honored to be a part of helping to maintain a strong community.
The FOT will continue to host daily events, through its happy hour and tree auction Saturday afternoon. All proceeds of the event are sent to the two local nonprofits.
