Samsung is all set to begin retailing the Galaxy Z TriFold in South Korea on December 12. Now, however, just days before that seminal event, the device’s Geekbench 6 scores have been leaked, and they are quite underwhelming, frankly speaking.
Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold manages to secure a single-core Geekbench 6 score of 2853 and a multi-core score of 8501
SammyGuru has just leaked the unofficial Geekbench 6 scores of the Galaxy Z TriFold, and they substantially underperform its SoC’s official scores.

The above snippet details the official Geekbench 6 scores of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite, the SoC that powers the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold.
Bear in mind that smartphones almost always underperform the official scoring of their SoC. However, the Snapdragon 8 Elite’s last-gen characteristics render this underperformance particularly jarring.
For added context, do note that the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold’s single-core score underperforms its SoC’s official score by 9.6 percent, while its multi-core score falls short by 12.6 percent.
Of course, a Samsung exec recently justified using a last-gen chip on the next-gen Galaxy Z TriFold by absurdly proclaiming that the South Korean giant wanted to push out a “perfect and highly finished” product, as if the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 would have prevented Samsung from doing so. Not buying it. Cost-cutting appears to be a more believable motive here.
Here are the key specs of the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold:
- Dimensions of 159.2mm x 214.1mm x 3.9-4.2 mm when unfolded, with the device’s thickness increasing to 12.9mm when folded.
- A 10-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED inner screen with a 2,160 x 1,584 resolution and 1,600 nits of peak brightness, as well as a 6.5-inch FHD+ Dynamic LTPO AMOLED technology with a 2,520 x 1,080 resolution and 2,600 nits of peak brightness.
- Both displays offer a variable refresh rate that varies between 1 and 120Hz.
- A 16GB RAM and the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC.
- A 5,600mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging.
- IP48 dust and water resistance.
Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold features the following camera setup:
- A 200MP main camera
- A 12MP ultrawide lens
- A 10MP telephoto lens

As stated earlier, the triple-folding device from Samsung is expected to go on sale in South Korea for about $2,447 on December 12.
