A new state-of-the-art facility is now being used by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office to coordinate area police response to crimes.
The Regional Investigative Operations Center is up and running in Greece.
Officials say the building will serve as a real-time crime center staffed with highly trained personnel using advanced technology.
The facility will bring together investigative efforts from around the region to coordinate responses to crimes, according to the sheriff’s office.
It will also assist with all types of threats, hazards, missing person cases, as well as stolen vehicles and retail theft.
