TYLER, Texas — Rabbi Neal Katz and The Tyler Klezmer Band on Monday will present the 18th annual Klezmer concert in Tyler.
The Klezmer music is described as the joyful, soulful sound of Eastern European Jewry. It brings an uplifting, “Fiddler on the Roof–meets–Texas” energy to this annual community favorite, the event announcement stated.
The concert will be held at the True Vine Brewing, located at 2453 Earl Campbell Parkway, at 7 p.m. No ticket is required and the concert is free; however, donations are appreciated.
“Everybody who comes there loves the vibe. They love the messaging. The messaging is about community and its about coming together,” Katz said. “It’s not about differences or divides or politics its really just being together in a moment of dancing, music, and fun. Nobody in the band is Jewish except for me.”
