The 14-inch M5 MacBook Pro is slowly being pushed down our throats, which isn’t a bad thing, to be honest, but the drawback is that Amazon is slowly phasing out the M4 MacBook Pro models as a direct consequence of this move. The previous-generation portable Macs in their base configurations dropped to as low as $1,299, but with those options no longer available, you can only get the M4 Pro variants, which start from $1,749 on the online retailer. Luckily for you, Amazon has slashed $250 and $300 from these machines, making terrific upgrades if you want a capable MacBook Pro as your daily driver.
You can also opt for the 24GB unified RAM and 1TB SSD versions of the M4 Pro MacBook Pro in Space Black and Silver colors, with Amazon slashing both variants by $300
First, let us start with the version that packs 24GB of unified RAM and a 512GB SSD, which is currently listed for $1,749, or $250 off. The M4 Pro running in this MacBook Pro sports a 12-core CPU and a 16-core GPU. To say that this is a powerhouse of a silicon would be an understatement, as its CPU’s multi-core performance is significantly faster than most desktop processors, not to mention that the increased GPU core count will do wonders in boosting the framerate in games.
With 24GB unified RAM, you have more flexibility to keep several applications running in the background, including games, which have started to become more and more memory-intensive. As for the second configuration, it features an unbinned M4 Pro with an impressive 14-core CPU and 20-core GPU. According to a 3DMark Steel Nomad Light Unlimited and 3DMark Solar Bar Unlimited benchmark comparison, this M4 Pro is up to 45 percent faster than Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme, pretty much cementing the argument that this SoC is not to be trifled with.
As for the price of the higher-end MacBook Pro, it is listed for $2,099 after a $300 price cut, and offers the exact unified memory count as the first version, but takes the storage to 1TB SSD, making it an excellent option if you want to pocket more savings and obtain double the solid-state drive capacity. These discounts are phenomenal for power users who can benefit from more powerful configurations, but you have to understand that these deals will likely not last long as the M5 Pro and M5 Max chipsets are slated to launch in the first half of 2026.
Apple’s entire M5 MacBook Pro family is also discounted
Assuming you want to sacrifice the higher CPU and GPU cores in favor of obtaining Apple’s latest and greatest MacBook Pro, the M5 version now starts from $1,399 on Amazon after a $200 discount. However, we recommend opting for the 24GB unified RAM and 1TB SSD option, as it is listed for $1,849 after $150 off and will enable you to get a ton of multitasking done without the lingering fear that you don’t have sufficient memory.
