If you’ve spent any time on TikTok or Pinterest, you’ve probably seen Romwe’s trendy (and ridiculously inexpensive) clothes pop up.
They’re one of those online fast-fashion sites with endless styles…mostly for women, but with a small men’s section too. Oh, and in case you didn’t know, they’re actually owned by Shein, so that should also give you an idea of the vibe and price point.
This is my honest Romwe review, and it will break down everything you want to know about this ridiculously inexpensive shopping site.
So, Romwe is a site I have been familiar with since I started my website about 10 years ago. I was always on the hunt for inexpensive clothing and accessories to feature at that time.
This skirt was my first time ordering from Romwe.
(Have Clothes, Will Travel)
And I had tried a Romwe midi skirt, which, while cute in photographs, was pretty terrible quality and super uncomfortable to wear. But hey, it was under $20, so I didn’t complain too much.
That said, I didn’t shop with them again… until about a year ago, when I placed a new order just for this post.
For this Romwe haul, I purchased:
-
A crew neck embroidered sweater
-
A Powerpuff Girls backpack
I’m in no way sponsored by Romwe for this post. I paid for everything myself and get nothing if you do decide to order from them. I’ve been testing and wearing these pieces for about eight months now to really get a feel for the quality.
So, I’ll go through each item briefly, and then we’ll chat about shipping and returns.
And if you are interested, I have a full Romwe review YouTube video you can check out below!
Romwe Sizing
Let’s start with Romwe’s sizing. In the past, I know their sizes ran very small and were all over the place.
However, at least with my last order, the sizing was pretty consistent and normal. Based on the size chart, I ordered my normal size medium in everything. I didn’t have any major issues.
Review of My Romwe Items
Floral Print Ruffle Hem Belted Dress
First up is this floral belted dress. Now, again, the sizing was fine, and I would say this dress looks just like its photo.
Is it the best quality in the world? No. Would I say this is my favorite dress in my wardrobe? No. But it cost me $13 at the time because I had a coupon code. So… for that price, I would say it wasn’t a bad buy.
I don’t foresee it lasting terribly long, as the stitching and fabric are pretty questionable, but it is cute and worked fine on my recent trip to Mexico.
Verdict: For the price, I can’t complain… It’s really cheap. And it’s cute, but I’m not over the moon about it. So, bottom line, you get what you pay for. But as far as cheap dresses go, I’ve definitely ordered far worse than this.
Terry Fleece Wide Leg Drawstring Waist Pants
Next, we have these Terry fleece wide-leg pants. Again, I would say this product matched its photo. However, I probably should have sized up in these. The tag says it’s 100% cotton, so they did shrink a bit after I washed and dried them.
I mean, these pants are fine for the $18 I spent on them. They’re currently listed for almost $40 on Romwe’s website, though… and I would say they are absolutely not worth that price. They are not amazing quality, or crazy soft, or anything. I’m frankly pretty indifferent to them.
Verdict: These, I am not super impressed with, especially now that the price has increased. I would look elsewhere for sweatpants.
Fairycore Crew Neck Botanical Embroidery Casual
This sweater is one of my favorites from this order. I wore it a lot last winter and received compliments on it every time I wore it. It’s super cute, and even though it’s made of 100% polyester, and not the softest material out there, I still found it really comfortable. I loved throwing it on with a pair of jeans for an easy, put-together look.
Verdict: I mean, I paid less than $20, and I think it’s so cute. I love the embroidery, and it’s held up well in the wash so far. Based on this one, I’d definitely be open to ordering more sweaters from Romwe.
Unfortunately, this color is sold out, but the green version of this sweater is still available.
Fairycore Mushroom Drop Earrings
I ordered these earrings to go with the cute mushroom sweater, and they also did not disappoint. They are lightweight and comfy to wear, and I’ve worn them every time I’ve worn this sweater with no issues.
Verdict: These earrings were less than a dollar, seriously, such a steal! They’re unfortunately sold out now, but Romwe still has some similar styles available. For the price, they’re totally worth it, and I wouldn’t hesitate to order more. Honestly, they’re no different than what you’d find at Claire’s. And fun fact: I actually used to work at Claire’s in high school as an ear piercer and store associate, lol!
The Powerpuff Girls | ROMWE Cartoon Heart & Star Backpack
I ordered this backpack for my niece, who is a huge Powerpuff Girls fan. She loved that it came with stickers, and she can keep her snacks in it lol. I thought it was fun that you could use it as a backpack or purse, depending on how you hook the strap.
Verdict: This backpack costs $15; for that price, the quality is absolutely fine. No complaints, and I wouldn’t hesitate to order my niece another cute backpack like this from Romwe.
Kawaii Women’s Fashionable Soft Bottom Slippers
Last but not least are these slippers from Romwe. I wore them almost nonstop all last winter. I work from home most days, so these were my “work” shoes.
They were a little snug at first. I have pretty wide feet, though, so no surprise there. They did stretch, though, and turned out to be very comfy to wear.
Verdict: For their $9 price tag, I was once again happy with the quality. Were they the most comfortable or high-quality slippers that I’ve ever worn? No. But again, for the price and the amount of use they get, I am perfectly happy with them, and I will wear them again next winter.
Romwe Shipping
So, I placed my Romwe order on Nov. 22 and received my package on Dec. 2. So it took 10 days to reach me, and it all came in the same package.

Again, Romwe is owned by Shein, so it came in a Shein bag, and I assume it came from China based on the vague “international” warehouse it came from.
Is Romwe shipping Free?
It is free if you spend over $19 for the economy shipping, which is what I did. Otherwise, it costs $3.99.

As of now, there are no tariff issues when ordering from Romwe. It’s possible that any potential costs have already been built into the pricing, especially for items shipping from China. Of course, this could change in the future, but for the moment, it’s business as usual.
Romwe Return Policy
Romwe’s return policy is the same as Shein’s, and I’ve never had any issues with it. You get one free return per order, but after that, it’ll cost you $7.99, which is deducted from your refund.
So, for example, if I returned the sweatpants from this order and then later decided I also wanted to send back the dress, they’d take $7.99 out of my refund for that second return. Basically, they don’t want you sending back multiple packages… just do one return and be done!
You have 60 days from the purchase date to decide if something works for you, which is actually pretty generous. Overall, Romwe and Shein have some of the better return policies when it comes to fast fashion… unlike my experience with Light in the Box.

Is Romwe Legit?
Overall, my experience with Romwe was positive. I received everything I ordered and felt it looked similar to the photos… and while not everything was amazing quality, for the prices I paid, I was more than happy. Shipping and returns were also very fair.
However, I do want to point out that Romwe is not Better Business Bureau accredited and does have an F rating. So, in that sense, some may say they are not legit.
Personally, I wouldn’t hesitate to order from Romwe again, especially for their cute sweaters. And just to reiterate, this post isn’t sponsored, and I don’t make a cent if you buy anything. I just like helping you make informed decisions before ordering online.
