The new shipping log has revealed that the upcoming Intel Battlemage GPU will be noticeably power-hungrier than its predecessor.
Intel’s New Discrete GPU Part Number Leaked in NBD Shipping Manifest; Suggests 300W TDP for the GPU
Hopefully, the flagship Xe2-based Intel Battlemage GPU should launch soon as we are now getting more leaks on the GPU than ever before. Previously, we saw leaks related to the BMG-G31 chip here and there, but since the time when Intel itself added support for the larger Battlemage chip, it appears that the most powerful Battlemage GPU is around the corner. Keep in mind that the BMG-G31 is reportedly used in both consumer and pro variants, but the shipping log is likely pointing at the consumer variant as you shall see below.
Today, we saw the a glimpse of a new GPU in the NBD shipping manifest. Thanks to @x86deadandback for spotting the entry, which reveals the Part Number for the upcoming Intel GPU. As per the entry, the upcoming Intel GPU will have the part number “N38341-001”. This is how Intel assigns part numbers to its consumer GPUs using a combination of N + 5 digits, unlike AMD or NVIDIA that have a completely different format to assign part numbers to their GPUs.

While the shipping log doesn’t reveal whether this relates to the Intel’s Arc B770 GPU, it is likely that this is what we are going to see since the Arc B580 has a part number “B19826“. Moreover, this is an early engineering sample currently under testing and will be rated at 300 W. This clearly shows that it is a much higher-end GPU than the Arc B580, which utilizes the BMG-G21 chip.
The Arc B580 is rated at 190 W, which is significantly lower. Considering Intel’s BMG-G31-based Battlemage GPU comes out with 300 W of TDP, it’s going to be the highest on the mainstream discrete GPU family from the company. Its predecessor, the Arc A770 is rated at a much lower 225 W of TDP, which means the BMG-G31 is going to be quite power hungry.
It’s already expected that the G31 is going to be a bigger die than the G21, and may feature 32 Xe 2 cores or 4096 Shaders. The GPU is said to boast a 256-bit memory bus width and 16 GB GDDR6 VRAM capacity. With a memory speed of 19 Gbps, we will have a decent 608 GB/s of memory bandwidth, and overall this should make the Arc B770 much faster than the Arc B580. Hopefully, the Arc B770 beats the RTX 5060 Ti and the RX 9060 XT 16 GB cards for a noticeably lower price as this is the only way it’s going to succeed, given Intel’s current state in the discrete GPU market.
