DICKINSON — Earlier this afternoon, Dickinson State University (DSU) alerted faculty and staff that Leslie ‘Les’ Wietstock, who serves as the Vice President for Finance and Administration (VPFA), that he had been placed on administrative leave effective today.
Wietstock initially began work at DSU in 2022. Prior to joining the university, he held CEO, CFO and other leadership roles in various healthcare organizations including Community Memorial Hospital in Hettinger and Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND), where he worked as the Director of Provider Reimbursement,
A limited amount of information was shared in the official faculty and staff notification sent by DSU. An exact timeline and process for officially replacing Wietstock as VPFA was not included in the notice. However, the notice stated that President Scott Molander will serve in VPFA capacity until an interim replacement is made.
