Movies and More at the Fallon Theatre

Thank you to everyone who filled downtown with holiday spirit during Friday’s traditional Maine Street Christmas Tree Lighting.

Seeing families bundled up together, hearing carols drift through the cold evening air, and watching the lights sparkle to life reminded us once again how lucky we are to be part of a community that shows up, supports one another, and keeps these traditions alive year after year.

Your enthusiasm, kindness, and support mean everything to the Fallon Theatre, and we’re so grateful to celebrate this magical season with you.

At 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, the Churchill Community Coalition is sponsoring Home Alone. This beloved holiday classic follows clever young Kevin McCallister as he navigates being accidentally left behind for Christmas and must outsmart two determined burglars with a series of unforgettable tricks and traps.

Packed with comedy and adventure, it’s a perfect choice for family night. And while you’re here, be sure to enjoy our lobby, which is fully decorated with fun Home Alone inspired holiday décor. Rated PG.

Then at 7 p.m. both nights, settle in for A Christmas Story. This nostalgic comedy brings to life the adventures of young Ralphie Parker as he spends a memorable 1940s Christmas season chasing his dream gift while navigating school, family, and holiday chaos.

Full of classic moments and warm holiday charm, it remains a seasonal favorite for audiences of all ages. Rated PG.

Next weekend, one of our favorite holiday traditions returns with The Polar Express! Join us on Dec. 19-20 for free showings at both 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., and enjoy a complimentary hot cocoa bar for all attendees.

It’s our way of spreading a little extra holiday cheer while you sit back and experience the magic, wonder, and timeless spirit of this beloved Christmas classic. Bring the whole family, sip some cocoa, and believe in the magic of the season!

Please note, the Fallon Theatre will be closed Dec. 26 so our volunteers can enjoy a little rest and quality time with their families after the busy holiday season. We appreciate all they do to keep the theatre running and can’t wait to welcome everyone back that weekend!

As we wrap up the holiday season and head toward the new year, we’re ending 2025 with two fun classics. Elvis Presley in Follow That Dream, a lighthearted comedy about a carefree family who starts fresh in a small Florida town, only to find themselves in the middle of unexpected legal and romantic tangles.

Then, we’ll have John Wayne’s timeless western 3 Godfathers (1948), the heartfelt tale of three outlaws who find redemption when they vow to protect a stranded newborn in the desert. These year-end screenings are a warm, nostalgic way to close out 2025 with family, friends and a little classic movie magic.

As always, most regular movie screenings at the Fallon Theatre are free to attend, and our concession stand is stocked with popcorn, candy, and your favorite snacks. Want to rent the theatre for a private event or light up the marquee with a special message?
