Celtic’s Europa League tie against AS Roma can prove decisive in the competition.
Wilfried Nancy’s side are 21st in the table, only two points behind the Italians. A win could catapult them into the top 12.
A major boost has now come Roma’s way. RomaNews report key wing-back Wesley is expected to feature against Celtic.
The Brazilian has arguably been Roma’s best player this season, playing on either side. The 24-year-old was missing in their loss to Cagliari due to injury but he is now ‘running like a train’ ahead of the tie at Celtic Park.
On top of that, striker Artem Dovbyk is also close to making it for the game.
He trained with the first-team squad yesterday for the first time in weeks. Dovbyk is expected to be involved in some capacity against Celtic, even if he starts on the bench.
Paulo Dybala is also expected to start at false nine, having only come off the bench in Roma’s last two league games.
None of this helps Nancy, who will be managing his first European tie as Celtic manager on Thursday.
