The Chase County Elementary School gym was filled with music, smiles and seasonal cheer Friday evening as students in kindergarten through sixth grade presented their annual winter music program.
Families and friends gathered early, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m., to secure seats for the well-attended performance. By the time the program began at 7 p.m., the gym was packed with parents, grandparents and community members eager to watch the students take the stage.
The program followed a festive theme, inviting the audience to “come aboard the holiday express” for a musical journey through the season. Students showcased weeks of preparation as they performed a variety of holiday songs, combining singing with coordinated movements and cheerful enthusiasm.
Each grade level had an opportunity to shine, highlighting the hard work students have put into learning music fundamentals while also celebrating the spirit of the holidays. The performance reflected both the dedication of the students and the guidance of school staff who helped bring the program together.
Audience members responded with enthusiastic applause throughout the evening, and many could be seen recording the performance or snapping photos as students proudly sang from the gym floor.
The winter music program is a longtime tradition at Chase County Elementary School and continues to be a favorite community event, offering families a chance to celebrate the season while supporting local students.
