SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — New year finances are already on people’s minds as a newly released survey found that nearly 60% of people believe 2026 will be better for their wallet.
WalletHub shared 220 people’s financial expectations and anxieties for 2026.
More than three in five Americans expect to spend less money on new year’s plans this year compared to last year the survey found.
For those making new years resolutions, more than one in four Americans are planning to make a finance-related one.
Of that group 31% of people shared they want to save more.
More than half of Americans say inflation is their biggest financial concern for 2026.
Here in Utah it was found that out of almost 200 cities, Salt Lake City ranks number 117 when it comes to sustainable credit card debt.
The survey showed that people specifically wanted to save more money followed by making more money.
