- Isaiah Hartenstein: 12 points and 9 rebounds
- Chet Holmgren: 10 points and 10 rebounds

- De’Aaron Fox has scored 21 points for San Antonio, which is shooting 60% from the field and 44% from deep.
1:26 left in second quarter: Spurs 67, Thunder 56 | De’Aaron Fox unstoppable so far
De’Aaron Fox has been absolutely dominant. He’s drilling 3-pointers, sinking mid-range jumpers and finishing through contact at the rim. Fox has 19 points on 8-for-9 shooting from the field (3 for 3 from deep) in only 15 minutes. Spurs are up 67-56 with 1:26 left until halftime.
4:06 left in second quarter: Spurs 61, Thunder 48 | San Antonio rolling
Devin Vassell drains a 3-pointer to give the Spurs a 61-48 lead over the Thunder with 4:06 left until halftime. The Paycom Center crowd has gone silent with the exception of a group of San Antonio fans chanting “Go Spurs Go” behind its team’s bench.
7:23 left in second quarter: Spurs 49, Thunder 43 | Victor Wembanyama, San Antonio holding off OKC
That was an elite sequence of effort plays by OKC. First, Kenrich Williams got in front of Victor Wembanyama and ripped the ball away from him. Next, Cason Wallace flew through the air for an offensive board after Jalen Williams’ missed layup. Finally, Jalen Williams attacked the rim again and got clobbered to draw a foul. The Thunder is battling, but it still trails the Spurs 49-43 with 7:23 left until halftime.

- Jalen Williams: 9 points and 3 assists
- Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: 9 points and 2 rebounds
- Lu Dort: 6 points and 1 rebound
- San Antonio is legit, man. It weathered an early storm by the reigning champs and is up at the end of one.
4:57 left in first quarter: Thunder 28, Spurs 24 | Wemby checks in
8:10 left in first quarter: Thunder 18, Spurs 12 | OKC perfect from the field early in NBA Christmas game
Jalen Williams finds Isaiah Hartenstein for a lob, and they were both flexing their muscles after that one. OKC is up 18-12 on San Antonio with 8:10 on the clock in the first quarter. The Thunder has made all seven of its shots.

Thunder vs Spurs predictions, picks
Justin Martinez: OKC 118, San Antonio 113
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will have to play at an MVP level. Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren will have to do their part offensively. OKC’s supporting cast of shooters will have to capitalize on kickouts. Isaiah Hartenstein will have to battle on the boards. Cason Wallace, Lu Dort and Alex Caruso will have to keep San Antonio out of the paint. It’s a lot to ask for, but the reigning champion Thunder has been known to rise to the occasion. And I believe it’ll beat the Spurs on its third attempt of the season.
