Music, meals, fun for kids: 5 things to do in The Woodlands area for New Year’s Eve


Leading up to New Year’s Eve, there are several activities and events happening in The Woodlands area, including a festival for songwriters that extends over several days and an event for kids during the day Dec. 31. This list is not comprehensive, and events are subject to change.

The Woodlands Songwriter Festival

The Woodlands Songwriter Festival includes an experience with resort accommodations, food and beverages throughout the festival and access to performances featuring 24 acclaimed songwriters and headline performances.

High Noon Countdown 2025

Attendees can ring in the New Year with a balloon drop extravaganza at The Woodlands Children’s Museum.

Midnight Noir

The Woodlands Resort presents an event for adults age 21 and older with a 14-piece big band orchestra, an elevated buffet dinner, confetti countdown and live DJ set. Tickets can be purchased here.

New Year’s Eve prix fixe dinners

Restaurants in The Orioli Group are presenting a special prix fixe menu on New Year’s Eve at the four locations in The Woodlands area. Azzurro Italian Coastal Cuisine, Terra Vino Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar, Marcoza Trattoria and Via Emilia Italian Restaurant will each offer a prix fixe with different specials in place of the regular menu offerings.

Live music at Dosey Doe

Live music is planned at Dosey Doe-The Big Barn on New Year’s Eve. The Wilder Blue is performing at 10 p.m.
