After a holiday break, the Albert Music Hall in Waretown opens the 2026 concert season with a special “Winter Hootenanny” on Sunday, Jan. 4. Doors open at 1, and music begins at 2.
The afternoon features a mix of folk, country, Americana and bluegrass. The opener features a Pete Seeger tribute set by Pete Curry. Also performing are Redbird and Greg McGarvey, Johnny Zarfati, Billy T Midnight and Fish and Whistle.
Admission is $10 for adults, $1 for children younger than 12. Food booth specials include pulled pork sandwich, meatballs, kielbasa and sauerkraut, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, vegan patties, coffee, tea and bottled water. There will also be a variety of cakes and pies. The gift shop will be open featuring CDs and souvenirs.
The Pickin’ Shed and porch will be open for musicians interested in jamming.
