Harry Styles fuels album rumors with surprise music video

Just in time for the holiday season, Harry Styles is surprising fans with the gift of music.

Three years after the release of his Grammy-winning record Harry’s House and two years after ending his Love on Tour run, the British musician proved that he can still drive fans crazy with an unexpected video drop. On Saturday, Styles released a nearly nine-minute video titled “Forever, Forever,” which includes his performance of an emotional piano ballad that he played at the final stop on his 2023 tour.

The video begins with footage of several girls and women getting ready to attend the concert, excitedly discussing the event to come. During the chatter, they speculate that Styles “will disappear” once the tour ends, with one lamenting, “We won’t see him dancing on stage anymore.”

They then enter the venue, the RCF Arena in Reggio Emilia, Italy, and Styles appears onstage in a sparkling gold sequined outfit, walks to a grand piano, and tells the crowd in Italian, “I wrote this song for you.” The rest of the video depicts Styles’ performance of the unreleased song, occasionally cutting to the crowd to show the audience’s reaction.

By the end, Styles accepts a standing ovation as the words, “We belong together,” appear onscreen.

Styles did not clarify the meaning of the video but fans have already begun to speculate. Some voiced hope that the music drop indicates Styles us ending his music hiatus and preparing to release his fourth studio album. (His last new music drop was the 2023 single “Satellite.”)

“I choose to read this as Harry telling us ‘Don’t worry, I’m coming back soon.’ Homies, let’s be ready for 2026,” one fan wrote in the comments section.

Another joked, “He remembered he had a job.”

However, others have jumped to the opposite conclusion, wondering if this is Styles announcing a step back from music.

“I so desperately want this to be a hello and not a goodbye,” wrote one commenter.

Added another, “It’s called ‘forever, forever.’ He better not be quitting.”

Styles has been lying low since wrapping his international tour, which spanned 22-months, in July 2023. His last public performance was in 2024, when he joined Stevie Nicks onstage at Hyde Park to pay tribute to her late bandmate, Christine McVie. In July, he garnered some attention after announcing that his Pleasing personal care brand would be expanding into the world of sexual wellness with his own line of intimacy accessories. Styles also made headlines earlier this year when he was photographed running the 2025 Berlin Marathon under the pseudonym Sted Sarandos (a play on the name of Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos).

Aside from business, Styles last year mourned the loss of his former One Direction bandmate Liam Payne, reuniting with fellow band members Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik at the private funeral.
