WALKER COUNTY, Ala. (WBRC) – A new state audit shows that the Walker County Commission failed to prepare year-end financial statements.
The findings were released by the Alabama Department of Examiners of Public Accounts. It says the commission did not complete financial statements for two years, and failed to monitor policies and internal controls over money collected and deposited by the solid waste department.
WBRC reached out to the Walker County Commission Chairman for a statement. It will be added to this story when we hear back.
