Illinois thinking colder temps in Nashville could be an advantage in Music City Bowl | Illini

NASHVILLE, TN (WAND) — Illinois wrapped up practices Sunday afternoon at Vanderbilt University with the temps in the 70s and on Monday a 40 degree difference Monday and Tuesday with temps in the 30s.

Bret Bielema and players said they may have an advantage heading into the game playing in the Midwest and use to playing in colder weather.

If you remember their regular season finale against Northwestern they played in snow and sleet, so the Illini are ready for whatever mother nature has planned for them Tuesday.

The Music City Bowl game kicks off Tuesday Dec. 30 at 4:30 p.m. at Nissan Stadium.
