This No-Fail Outfit Looks Put-Together, Even When I’m Cold

There are days when getting dressed exhilarates me, and there are days I absolutely dread it. This is directly correlated with how cold it is outside: I love the possibilities that winter fashion presents, but most days, I can barely be bothered to leave the house, much less turn a look.

Still, getting dressed is a major part of my job. So, I’ve developed a no-fail outfit recipe that has me looking and feeling put-together, whether I’m working from home, out and about, or making a rare five-minute appearance at a holiday party. (I’m a Home By Nine kind of girl, if you couldn’t tell.) Forget stiff jeans and layers of sweaters warm enough to justify needing only a light jacket—my ultimate winter outfit recipe is a matching set and a long coat.
