This is one of the more affordable RTX 5070 builds you can get at this price, and it gives you everything you’d need for 1440p gaming, without completely breaking the bank. It scales back in a few areas to make this possible, such as opting for an AM4, but still impressive, Ryzen 7 5700X processor, and 32GB of DDR4 RAM, instead of the more recent DDR5. That being said, for the price, we think it’s a real winner for those who want something punchier than an RTX 5060 Ti build, without paying too much more of a premium.

Ryzen 7 5700X processor
This processor is an excellent mid-range option for 1440p gaming, content creation, and multitasking. It features 8 cores, 16 threads, a boost clock speed of 4.6GHz, and a large 32MB L3 cache, making it a more well-rounded offering compared to some of the more budget-oriented options found in lower-cost RTX 5070 builds. Storage and RAM
Due to the choice of CPU, you’ve got 32GB of DDR4, not DDR5, RAM in this build. This is still going to be more than enough to keep everything running smoothly, meaning multitasking and running demanding applications and games should still feel snappy and responsive. It features a modest-sized 1TB SSD, which is fine if you don’t mind the occasional bit of storage management. It should hold a good handful of AAA games easily, without filling up too quickly.
Things to consider
If you wanted to address the areas this PC scales back in, we’d say it’s worth considering Intel i7-14700K options instead, as these won’t be too much more expensive. They will likely come in at around $1,500 when discounted, and the builds will also likely have DDR5, too. These will be ultimately better for gaming, multitasking, productivity, and content creation, and for a premium of $200, could be well worth it.
