Stepping out ahead of New Year’s Eve, the Orebella founder brought her signature model-off-duty style to the Colorado slopes, pairing statement pieces with vintage details for a playful, nostalgic touch. On top, she layered a smiley face graphic T-shirt over a gray base, finished with a singular strand of diamonds around her neck. She paired the ensemble with dark-wash low-rise jeans, designed with a Y2k staple: a lace-up tie closure.
She slipped her feet into pointy animal-print Le Silla boots courtesy of Loved by Chi and, on her shoulder, she carried a brown leather bag from Los Angeles-based Tylie Malibu, whose grunge styles were widely popular in the 2000s.
And, while others opted for fluffy fur coats and oversize scarfs, Hadid went with a sheer lace duster housecoat, battling the freezing temperatures with only a bit of fur trimming the neckline. She sourced the piece from Ness Isabella’s New York City-based Nünü Vintage, a celebrity-favorite spot frequented by Emily Ratajkowski, Hailey Bieber, and Suki Waterhouse, in addition to Hadid.
Later, on New Year’s Eve itself, she attended Kate Hudson’s bash in a sheer, lacy little black dress that kept up the Y2k theme. The Georges Chakra knee-length dress, embellished with sequins and worn without a bra for a daring and striking look, was pulled from the designer’s Fall/Winter 2004 collection. She paired it with a long suede jacket lined with fur—keeping warm this time.
