Macau’s gaming industry generated gross gaming revenue of MOP$247.4 billion (US$30.9 billion) in 2025, representing a 9.1% increase over 2024 according to information from the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ).
The 2025 performance followed a subdued finish to the year in December, when GGR reached MOP$20.89 billion (US$2.61 billion), up 14.8% year-on-year but 0.9% lower than November. The final 2025 figure of MOP$247.4 billion saw gaming revenues return to 84.6% of 2019 levels.
Industry analysts had predicted that December could set a new post-COVID GGR record following a stronger than expected result in November.
Seaport Research Partners stated in a recent note that the city’s recent growth – mainly attributable to the high-end VIP and premium mass segments – had been driven by robust marketing and player reinvestment plus continued ease of money flow and unimpeded visa issuance.
