The series “Love Story” about Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy influenced a surge of interest in 90s minimalist fashion and light hair shades. But not only it. Stars like Margot Robbie, Rosé from Blackpink, and Anya Taylor-Joy also demonstrate classic blonde.

The number of Google searches for “lived-in blond” (blonde with the effect of grown-out roots) has increased by 20 percent since the beginning of 2026.
Experts believe that interest is also growing because becoming a blonde and maintaining this color is now easier, and dyes are not as harmful. And those women who were once blondes, and then grew out their natural color and restored hair health, are ready to experiment again.
Colorists highlight several trendy blonde shades in 2026. While previously the request was for “sun-kissed” hair (balayage technique, where part of the strands are colored), now it’s for a solid, bright light blonde. For example, like actresses Margot Robbie and Elle Fanning. It is less like a beach style than previous versions.
