How would you feel about the Clippers in a series against the Spurs particularly?

And I apologize, this feels a little narrative on the internet-ish, but- Oh we have this group of, this group of guys who are experienced and maybe, you know, are, are letting it fly ’cause we shouldn’t be here, and we have the, ugh, young team in the Spurs.

Would you feel some way about the Clippers against the Spurs in the playoffs?

Ugh.

Oh.

Bad taste in my mouth.

Well, you see, say it with me now, it’s the playoff experience matter Okay.

But no, in all seriousness- I would be f- I would be fascinated by the matchup, and I’d be fascinated by gets the Wemby assignment in, like, a playoff setting, ’cause in the regular season, like, all right, we gonna put wing here or John Collins, you do it.

We’ll have Brook Roam, whatever, whatever.

We get into a playoff sit- situation, how often do we just get Kawhi, you are guarding Wemby?

Which is also wing on big with Brook Lopez roaming, but now it is, “Hey, Wemby, some of the face-up stuff and some of the face-up growth that we’ve seen from you, that’s been real cool.

Would you like to dribble the basketball against Kawhi Leonard?”

I, I would be fas- I Sign me up for seeing how that goes, whether Kawhi is a bully or Wemby’s like, “Actually, I am just the best player in the world.

Here’s my proof.

I am scoring over Kawhi Leonard in my first playoff game.”

You know, like, it could go either way, but, like, I would love to see that.

Sign me up for that.

and I think in general, if we’re talking about the Spurs, their offense has been elite pretty much all year, but it’s taken another gear in the calendar year 2026, and a lot of that is because the guard play has been so strong for them.

This Clippers group, as their defense has gotten back in order, Chris Dunn’s been a monster.

Derrick Jones Jr., who may just be, like, the most imp- like, the ratio between how impactful he is for his team versus how much he’s talked about among, like, other elite imp- role players, might be one of the most disproportionate splits we have in the league right now.

When Derrick Jones Jr.’s available, the Clippers are just a totally different basketball team.

But Chris Dunn defensively, Derrick Jones Jr. defensively, Kawhi Leonard, everything that he can do, Brook Lopez walling off the rim.

He’s been one of the best rim protectors in basketball since December 20th.

Hey, that gets fun if we can turn the water off on some of these drives for the San Antonio Spurs.

And again, Darius Garland in transition or the Clippers in general in transition, th- that gets, that gets fun.

I think as of today, like, I’d probably pick the Spurs over the Clippers in a series, but I think that one goes six or seven.

And I may feel differently by the time the regular season ends, but I, I need to, I need to see that.

Oh, gosh darn it.
