Acquisition Of Independent Music Platform Revelator To Expand Distribution And Label Services


Warner Music Group has agreed to acquire Revelator, a B2B music platform focused on independent artists and labels, in a deal aimed at strengthening its distribution and label services capabilities.

The transaction, announced April 1, 2026, is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to be completed next quarter. Founded in 2012, Revelator provides digital music distribution, rights management, royalty accounting, and real-time analytics through its cloud-based platform.

Warner Music Group said the integration of Revelator’s technology will enhance the services offered by its labels and its independent distribution arm ADA, while expanding its reach across the global independent music ecosystem.

Revelator currently supports hundreds of clients with tools designed to streamline operations and financial reporting for artists, labels, and distributors. Its offerings include Revelator Pro, an API platform, and white-label solutions tailored for music businesses.

The company emphasized that Revelator will continue serving its existing customers following the acquisition, while contributing its expertise in music technology and revenue management to Warner Music Group’s broader operations.
