If you haven’t noticed, adidas Golf is currently in its absolute bag.
From the Samba OG to the recent flux of streetwear-heavy drops, the Three Stripes has been leaning hard into the “look good, play okay” lifestyle. Their latest move? A limited capsule collaboration with Metalwood Studio that feels like a fever dream for anyone who grew up watching skate videos and World Cup football in the early 2000s.
It’s hard to describe what I’m feeling right now.
On one hand, the adidas Golf x Metalwood MC70 golf shoe has me feeling like a kid again. The football boot-inspired stitching and sleek silver upper call back to adidas’ heritage, and bring back my fond memories of chasing a white ball around a green field.
On the other hand, it has me feeling pretty old. Retro vibes, baggy fits, and a reminder that I’ve got a kid of my own that will hopefully find joy in chasing a white ball around in the grass (golf or football) sometime soon.
