Alexa Chung put Malone Souliers’ Raquel 45 sandal to work during London Fashion Week on Monday, wearing the metallic pink mule while heading to the brand’s presentation in London’s Mayfair district.
Her sandals delivered the color in the look. The Raquel 45 style featured knotted metallic leather straps in a camellia-pink tone with slim gold-edged bands looping across the foot and tying at the center. A rounded open toe and low kitten heel kept the silhouette compact, with a leather insole and sole finishing the construction. Malone Souliers currently lists the pair at $725 on its site.

Chung styled the heels with relaxed layers. She wore wide-leg olive green utility trousers with stitched seam panels and cuffed hems, a straight mid-calf beige trenchcoat and a white T-shirt printed with black lettering. An iridescent paillette-covered bag finished the look, adding another pop of pastel shine to the ensemble.

The metallic mules slotted into a wider run of high-shine sandals that has stretched through the colder months. In London last December, Dylan Mulvaney chose Vince Camuto’s Saprenda gold heel for an “Oh, Mary!” press performance, a squared-toe sandal with a single toe strap and ankle fastening. Brooks Nader opted for strappy metallic stilettos for an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen” in New York, while Sadie Sink paired silver Prada pointed-toe sandals with a green satin dress at this year’s BAFTA Film Awards over the weekend.

Within Malone Souliers’ lineup, the Raquel 45 sits inside a spring 2026 collection that looks back to late-1960s and early-1970s style, using curved silhouettes, metallic finishes and feminine detailing across sandals and mules. The brand’s recent sandal edits have highlighted similar kitten-heel options in metallic napa, positioning Raquel alongside higher-heel evening styles and raffia platforms.

The outing also arrives as Malone Souliers enters a new chapter under chief executive officer Andrew Wright, the former Manolo Blahnik executive who joined the label in late 2025 with a brief to expand its global footprint, particularly in the U.S. market, while maintaining its Italian production and customization programs. Chung’s pink Raquel pair gave that strategy a visible street-level moment during one of the busiest weeks on London’s fashion calendar.
