Why is local, hands-on production central to the brand?
Our atelier is the heart of the brand; it’s where my ideas come to life and where each piece is made specifically for the woman who will wear it. Producing locally allows us to remain deeply connected to every step of this process, ensuring we deliver the highest quality of craftsmanship.
Who inspires you?
My mother, in particular, has always been a great mentor of mine. Apart from her impeccable taste in fashion, she is a businesswoman whom I’ve also learned invaluable lessons from.
Your designs have been worn by countless celebrities and influencers—who else would you love to see wearing Alexia María?
I would love to dress Olivia Dean. Apart from being a fan of her music, I adore her classic and feminine style. I feel like she is a breath of fresh air, both through her music and fashion taste. Her style is classic and unapologetically feminine yet feels authentic and effortless.

What do you hope your fashion legacy is?
I hope to be remembered for creating pieces that make women feel confident and beautiful, and that inspire them to find joy in the art of dressing up. Women come to Alexia María when they’re dressing for some of the most meaningful moments in their lives, and knowing how they feel wearing one of my designs is truly priceless to me.

What’s next?
My latest collection marks a new chapter for the brand. Moving forward, I’m excited to continue expanding the world of Alexia María, exploring new categories and ways to celebrate the art of dressing up. This March, I’ll be launching a limited-edition capsule collection in collaboration with Over The Moon and the heritage American textile house Scalamandré. I’m excited to launch this capsule because it was such a creative collaboration. The collection features a curated selection of my signature pieces, reimagined in a custom Scalamandré floral print.
