What is Early Exit?

Early Exit is a program intended to help customers by issuing credits under specific conditions when a bet is materially impacted by a player’s early exit due to injury.

How does it work?

Customers may be eligible to receive cash credits based on the following criteria:

  • For single bets: If your bet qualifies for Early Exit, you’ll receive cash credits equal to the amount of your original stake.
  • For Parlays and Same Game Parlays:
    • The remaining legs of your parlay will remain open, and the odds of your parlay will be recalculated, excluding the leg that qualifies for Early Exit.
      • For example: You place a three leg parlay with each leg having individual odds of +100, resulting in total odds of +700. If one leg qualifies for Early Exit and the other two legs remain open, your total odds would be recalculated to +300 based on the two remaining legs’ individual odds of +100.
    •  If the remaining legs settle as wins, your parlay will be paid out as a winner at the recalculated odds.

What bets are covered?

To qualify for Early Exit, your bet must meet the following conditions:

  • Early Exit only applies to bets placed via the DraftKings Sportsbook app or website.
  • Pre-match player prop bets.
  • Full game player prop bets.
  • Single bets.
  • Parlays and Same Game Parlays (SGP/SGPx).
  • Live or in-play player prop bets.

Note: Bets with selection(s) that were unconditionally determined before the injury (e.g., a player already hit an over target, or achieved a milestone) will not be considered for Early Exit. Similarly, “Under” selections will be settled as “Won” and will not be considered for Early Exit.

What bets are not eligible for Early Exit?

  • Bets on players who are injured outside of the Early Exit timeframe (e.g., in the second half).
  • Props on players that were already settled before the injury, regardless of bet status (won or lost).

When does a player no longer qualify for Early Exit?

Credits will be considered when a player exits during the first half of a game and does not return. This applies to both the regular season and postseason.

What amount will be credited?

Customers will receive cash credits to their accounts based on the following criteria:

Singles: cash credit for the amount of stake for bet(s) that meet Early Exit eligibility criteria

Parlays and Same Game Parlays (SGP/SGPx)If remaining legs win, customers will receive cash credit based on recalculated odds

When will I receive my Early Exit credit?

Customers with eligible bets under the Early Exit Program should expect to receive their cash credits within 24 hours of the game ending (singles), or within 24 hours of the last leg being determined (Parlay/SGP/SGPx).

Note: Bets that qualify for Early Exit will remain settled as “Lost” on your “My Bets” tab.

How will customers be notified about Early Exit?

Customers will be notified of credits via standard messaging channels, including, but not limited to: in-app notifications, e-mails, social media posts, etc.

Will the Early Exit program criteria change?

DraftKings reserves the right to interpret and revise the program at any time. All decisions regarding eligibility and execution rest with DraftKings’ internal teams.
