The peak performer in Apple’s laptop offerings, the MacBook Pro is a sleek and stylish powerhouse designed from the ground up for creative excellence. We naturally gave it an Editors’ Choice in our review, noting that the M5 system upgrade dramatically increased its value. Hardware writer Brian Westover said “with tuned-up processor cores, more memory bandwidth, and graphics silicon turbo-charged with AI acceleration, it’s a step forward that’s more than just incremental—it vaults past what we expected generation to generation.” That’s high praise. HP makes a wide selection of business laptops, from budget-priced portables to full-on desktop replacements. The EliteBook 6 G1 falls into that second category, with an impressive component selection that lets you handle demanding computing tasks on the go. We reviewed a slightly different loadout of this portable and gave it an “Excellent” rating, noting that it had great battery life and benchmarked well across the board. This loadout ships with 64GB of onboard RAM, making it an excellent option for creative workers, and the 1TB SSD and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity are also solid. A $900 price drop is unprecedented.
For an excellent two-in-one laptop option at $500 off retail, the Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 needs to be on your radar. This is a solid loadout from top to bottom, starting with a Lunar Lake series Intel Core Ultra 7 processor that’s beefy enough to handle all of Windows 11’s Copilot AI features, coupled with 16GB of RAM and a full 1TB SSD. The responsive AMOLED touchscreen is a joy to use, with a refresh rate of 120Hz, and it comes bundled with a Samsung S Pen for creative input. Battry life is also stellar, with over 24 hours on a single charge.
Gaming machines are also on sale right now, and so far the best offer we’ve seen is 18% off this large and in charge Asus portable, with a massive 18-inch screen that demands attention, coupled with a solid suite of silicon for good performance on today’s top titles. We reviewed a slightly different configuration (with an Intel CPU as opposed to the AMD one in this offer), and praised its decent battery life for a gaming machine, extreme performance, and relatively reasonable weight for the size. It even ships with a Blackwell-series Nvidia GPU.
For something a little less massive, this 12% price drop on the Legion 5i from Lenovo hits the spot. We have a review of this capable midrange gaming machine, where it won an Editors’ Choice nod for its exceptional OLED display, solid performance for the price point, and sweet features like multi-zone RGB keyboard lighting and Wi-Fi 7 support for ultra-fast wireless gaming and downloading. The RTX 5070 graphics card on board is a terrific performer as well, perfectly suited to the 2.5K screen’s 165Hz refresh rate. Across the board, this is a gaming laptop that’s built to last.

We gave an Editors’ Choice award to Acer’s all-purpose Aspire desktop in our review, with writer Charles Jefferies calling it “a lot of PC for not much money.” You get even more value at an even bigger discount with this loadout, which not only doubles the RAM of our review model but also adds a split-storage system that gives you a full terabyte across an internal SSD and HDD combo. The processor has also jumped a generation from the one we tested, delivering even better computation speed. Our only criticism for this desktop was that sometimes we could hear the fan running, and that’s about as petty an issue as we can think of.
With a snazzy woodgrain finish, HP’s new line of OmniDesk towers harkens back to an older era of computing on the outside while delivering modern-age components and performance. In our CES preview of these units, we were impressed by the thoughtful selection of front and rear-facing ports, including a pair of USB-C ports on the front panel. The unit runs off a Ryzen 7 processor, which we called “an excellent single-chip gaming solution” in our review, thanks to its impressive integrated graphics performance, and ships with a generous 32TB of RAM and a 1TB SSD.

Geekom is one of the most consistent companies in the micro PC market, reliably knocking out little rectangles packed with processing power at ultra-low prices. We reviewed the similar A9 Max and raved about it, and this model looks to be equally good. Gaming desktops are seeing some price drops during the Big Spring Sale, and this midrange Lenovo is definitely worth a look if you’re shopping on a budget but still want a current-gen Nvidia Blackwell graphics card. We reviewed the Lenovo Legion Tower 5i and said that it was a very serviceable pick for 1080p gaming thanks to its attractive, roomy chassis and good cooling. Our test model shipped with DDR4 memory, which we docked it points for, but this build upgrades to DDR5 for a speed boost. Port selection is capable and connectivity is solid with 2.5G Ethernet and WiFi 6E. A 20% discount makes it a real deal.

All-In-One Desktop Deals
For a lower-priced option that’s great for families and other mixed-use environments, this is the biggest discount we’ve seen on Dell’s 27-inch all-in-one in quite some time. While we haven’t put this model through the full lab test, we did review a similar unit in 2022, praising its good value for the money and modern design. This revision pumps up just about every aspect to modern standards, with an Intel Core 7 processor and 16GB of onboard RAM making it more than capable enough for basic productivity and entertainment. The inclusion of Dell’s one-year onsite service warranty also makes it a safe bet for chaotic households.
For a midrange option, this Lenovo all-in-one has a solid component loadout at retail, and with a $200 Big Spring Sale price drop it becomes an even more impressive bargain. The good-sized FHD IPS screen is borderless on three sides for an elegant appearance, and 99% sRGB color accuracy makes it a good option for visual creativity. The eight-core Intel processor keeps everything running smoothly, and 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD are both what we’d expect at this price point. Connectivity options are extensive, including Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.
On a strict budget but still need a capable computer for family use? This HP all-in-one is a good option that won’t dazzle in any way, but gets the job done. With a 21.5-inch 1920 x 1080 anti-glare screen, it’s good for Netflix watching and productivity, and Windows 11 Pro comes pre-installed (machines at this price range typically have the less useful Windows 11 Home). You won’t be doing high-octane gaming or memory-intensive creative work with this one, but in the entry-level category it’s a standout pick.
