Former Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has revealed the brutal nature of his sacking from Nottingham Forest earlier this season. The Australian stepped back into the dugout a matter of weeks after being sacked by Spurs despite winning the Europa League in May.
Speaking to Australian outlet SEN 1116, Big Ange revealed that the post-match sacking resulted in a lot of awkward waiting before he was able to leave The City Ground.
Similarly, current Celtic manager Martin O’Neill has spoken about his exit from Forest back in 2019 when he was unceremoniously sacked before his replacement was confirmed before he’d left the building. Marinakis has shown no sign of slowing down in his ruthless effort to keep Forest in the top flight, sacking Sean Dyche a matter of months after Ange left.

Celtic are in the hunt for a new permanent manager for next season with MON expected to step away this summer. The Irishman has covered for the Celtic hierarchy and major shareholder but there are limits to O’Neill’s genius. Hopefully the team and club can unite and get everyone singing from the same hymn sheet ahead of the final stretch of fixtures.
